This is the new Spanish Confederations Cup jersey, the strip to be worn by World and European champions Spain in the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil. Spain’s new Confederations Cup kit has been made by Adidas and was officially unveiled on November 9, 2012 in Las Rozas, Madrid.

The new Spanish 2013 top is primarily red with yellow Adidas stripes and navy bands on the sleeves. It also contains a special gold badge identifying the national team as the reigning World champions (2010).

The introduction of the yellow V on the front gives the jersey a retro look.

Spain finished 3rd in the 2009 Confederations Cup held in South Africa, losing to the United States in the last four.

Brazil has won the last two Confederations Cups in 2005 (in Germany) and 2009 (in South Africa). This year Brazil has home advantage. Can Brazil win the Cup three times in a row?

The tournament is made up of eight teams. Tahiti will represent Oceania for the first time as the tiny nation is unexpectedly thrust onto the global stage to compete against the giants. Tahiti will play Spain and Uruguay in Group B as well as the African Champions (to be decided in February 2013).
