How should I launder my soccer / football / rugby apparel?

·   Always check the laundering instructions on the items for special care instructions. Most apparel includes specific laundering instructions that should be followed closely to minimize stress to the fabric.

·   Follow the laundering instructions as stated on the tags. We have seen apparel last for many years when the laundering directions are followed correctly during each wash. Usually, most sports apparel requires a cold-water wash to reduce fading and heat damage.

·   To better protect printed apparel during washing, turn apparel inside-out to protect applied logos, names, numbers, badges, and insignia.

·   Do NOT use fabric softeners or dryer sheets. Most care instructions such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Warrior Sports, Macron, Under Armour, etc.  recommend that you do not use softeners as they contain oil and waxes that coat apparel preventing them from wicking away your body moisture and keeping you cool. If a softener is accidentally used a second gentle wash should remove the residue from the softener.

·   Hang or lay flat to dry your apparel since the heat and agitation from tumble dryers can damage polyester materials, badges, logos, sleeve patches and player printing. Many manufacturers’ directions advise "tumble dry low," but you can make your apparel last even longer with gentle treatment. Most lightweight sports apparel dries very quickly with hang drying.

·   Do not iron logos, names, numbers, and patches. A high heat can scorch the fabric and destroy the appliqués on your apparel. We recommend you never iron sports apparel.

·   Use professionals to add customisations. Although resources are available for adding numbers and letters yourself, it is always best to customize your apparel using a professional service. The professionals use materials which will adhere better, last longer and seldom peel or crack. We provide professional-grade customizations that will allow you to add customized print and badges to your new apparel. This service is only available at the time of purchase from us. We cannot add it later.

·   In general, we recommend a gentle wash, turned inside-out, with a mild powder detergent and air drying.
